We spent the weekend in Detroit. It is sad to see such a dying city. It is a ghost town.
Most of the houses are empty and have been burned out.
This is the view we saw on the way to Woodmere Cemetery to look for family graves.
I am glad we were able to go clean the graves.
After doing Grandma and Grandpa Yager we went in search of more relatives.
The cemetery like the city is in need of some care.
These are the graves we were looking for. Unfortunately, these looked good compared to the majority of the sites.
There are sections that no longer have any signs of burial plots.
I now understand how cities can be built on cities with no knowledge of what is below.
The grass was actually imprinted on.
This is the result of some hard work. So glad we were able to care for these graves.
