Climbing the Dunes

 The hardest and best part of Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes is climbing the dunes.

Eddie and Tennyson put in extra steps ..

 

By doing this bowl a few extra times...

The views from the top were amazing.

We made it to the top!!!

Even Nichelle made it carrying Story..

Lake Michigan

 We went swimming in Lake Michigan.  It was beautiful.....

but was it ever cold!!!!

So cold we got brain freeze!

Once you got in you did not dare come out...

because then you would have to brave it to get back in...

and that was not happening!!!

It was safer to just play on shore...

and collect rocks

The best part was being able to bury Grandma!

The second day at the beach we were a little smarter...

We sat in the tubes and made Eddie stand in the cold water the whole time.
