This is the first time we have decided to attend the Air Show. We really picked the right year. As we were leaving Jon posted on Facebook that they were going. Since they live right there downtown we told them to save us a seat. Our plans were to find a not too crowded place....even if the view wasn't right on the main beach. However, we were spoiled. Jon and Jamie scored us beach chairs right in the center of all of the action.
They were passing these out on the way to the beach...we thought they would come in handy as fans. Those little lens cut outs ended up being the hit of our day. It seems if you look through them you can look right up into the sun and it doesn't bother your eyes.
When it got to hot during the day we just took a few steps and we were in Lake Michigan to cool off.
Look...it's a bird...no a plane....
