Easter Egg Decorating and Hunting

The die on our Easter eggs did not turn out very dark this year.  The crayon wax would not stick on the eggs. DSCF1713 So to make a long story short…our eggs were not very pretty this year, but we pretended to have fun anyways.

We had so much fun that even Derby tried to get in on the action.

The next day the eggs were hidden and found along with the traditional scavenger hunt for the baskets.

There were clues everywhere this year.

The baskets were finally found in Tennyson’s bed.

And now it was time to get the dinner in…..this is Eddie’s favorite…. scalloped potatoes.  The recipe is my Mom’s.  Potatoes, Cream of Mushroom soup, Golden Mushroom soup, a little milk and some salt and pepper.  My family is known for their ease in cooking.  The simpler the better.
