Surprise Shower

I decided since we were in Utah with family, I should throw Nichelle and baby  2.0 a little surprise shower.  This is not easily done when you are not at your house and you want to pull it off your own.  It is a good thing I had Shaylin for last minute adjustments.

The day before the shower I took Nichelle to Costco to buy the food for her own surprise shower.  I made up some story about having to pick up food for a party Carol was giving for her neighbors because she did not have time.  It was pretty funny because she believed it. That either makes me way too nice of a sister or it makes Carol seem really dingy.

Nichelle spent the day before getting upset at Paul for not returning her text.  She wanted to get together with them on Saturday.  They were ignoring her as to not give he surprise away.  I knew we already had plans with them in the afternoon because I had set it up.

The shower went smoothly. It was fun pulling off such a great surprise!

The next best thing to food at a shower is....the gifts!

She is going to be one sharp dressed little girl!

What...all these people came to the shower?

Utah Children's Museum

Nichelle, Tennyson and I flew to Utah for a couple of days to visit the family.  The plane was a small one and we sat in the very back with no windows.  It was a little claustrophobic, but we all survived.  Tennyson was happy as long as we let him turn the lights above us on and off.  The first full day we spent in Utah started with the morning at the Children's Museum with the McClellans.

Tennyson spent a lot of time trying to push the balls up the down hole.

Then he decided to take his cousins for a little drive....

They did not think this was such a great idea!

So it was off to the water table.  Amazingly we all keep fairly dry.

I had to put him on the horse.  What a great memory from years past.  It is amazing how fast time has past since I took the same picture of Nichelle.

Look how grown up she is now.

We even had time for a little pretend in the house.  Tennyson loved the fridge.  You can see Riley and Jackson in the background working hard to make sandwiches.

Finally Riley had enough of the " baby" opening and closing the fridge.  It is not a good idea to let all the cold air out.

Now that is one serious face!

Christmas Eve

This year we spent Christmas Eve at the Bodily’s.

It started with some great Mexican food.

Tennyson was even known to crawl across the table to get to the Taquitos…he was even caught grabbing one right out of Ashley’s hand.

Next on the agenda was Christmas Carols and bell playing.

Then it was time for the Rudolf PiƱata.  It seemed such a shame to hit him like that!!
