Trip to Utah

I took Nichelle and Tennyson for a quick visit to Utah the first part of January.  We went to congratulate Whitney and Troy on their Temple marriage on December 30th.  We drove up to Logan on Saturday and saw their cute little two bedroom apartment.  Nichelle was jealous because it was a lot nicer than their BYU apartment was for a lot less money.  We then went out to eat at The Bluebird.

Bluebird%20Cafe

It is a restaurant that has been around for a long time.  Grandpa Ed has been recommending it for years.  I am glad he did because they had the best rolls!!!  Even Tennyson loved the rolls.  He grabbed one when we weren’t looking and downed it.

We spent a lot of time visiting with the Great Grandparents.  Tennyson played with toys that his Mom and Grandpa played with.

He was definitely spoiled by all of the love.

He really liked to call Jake over to play, but got a little nervous when he got to close.  The loud barking spooked him.

The spoiling continued…….

He even got to meet his Great great Aunt Ester.  She tried to show us all of her toys, but they were all out of batteries.

The cousins had a great time playing with Tennyson.

IMG_0321

Their favorite thing to do was run around and fall down.  It made him laugh and laugh.

But the best part was playing with Jackson and Riley.  The next generation of cousins.

We spent the morning at the Children’s Museum.  They loved the bubbles.  Here is a sampling of our day.

Christmas Cookies

One of our favorite things to do at Christmas is to decorate Christmas Cookies.  We start out very traditionally.

Eddie was in charge of making the colors.  We have no idea how or what he was thinking when he made this color.

After we do some traditional cookies we try to get a little creative.

Shaylin did one with her grade point average for the semester.  She was proud of her grades this semester.
